We went there for my friends car, because I had accidentally locked the trunk manually, and it would not open again. The people at this Kia, were able to unlock the trunk for us and cleaned the key, because my friend did not even know there was a key, other than the auto door opener. 10/10 experience with Bannister Kia. I came to Penticton on a family vacation (we live a few hours away) and about 15 minutes before we made it to our destination my engine failed leaving me on the side of the highway. I’m sure you could imagine the amount of stress I was under. It was a long weekend, so the service department was closed. They were awesome though and let me tow my car to their location and store it there safely until they re-opened, letting me have some peace of mind to enjoy the remaining days of my vacation! Amazing place to buy a used vehicle! My husband and I had such an incredible experience purchasing a beautiful Nissan Rogue through Megan. She was exceptional to deal with. A great car buying experience all around. I liked that they didn’t hard sell or make us sweat like other #i$$an dealers did. Free popcorn, inventory, reasonable trade value and just good happy people. The only issues we had were upon pickup at our prearranged time; the car was not really well detailed, not gassed up, didn’t have a manual, and they didn’t show my wife how to use all the features.

During a recent trip to Penticton my rental car (2023 Kia Niro EV) refused to accept a charge at any of the local charging stations. The customer support team at Thrifty (Hertz) was completely useless in solving the problem. As a last ditch attempt to fix it I brought the car to Bannister Kia. The service team kindly offered to charge the car for me. Unfortunately they were not able to get the car to accept a charge. Thrifty customer support continued to be utterly useless, even after I spent 5 hours on the phone trying to troubleshoot with them. The car ended up sitting at Bannister Kia for 2 days with 0 miles of range remaining. Despite their lot being very full and busy, the service team allowed me to leave the car there and tried to help me contact Kia roadside support. Eventually the car was towed. During this very frustrating situation the only silver lining was the kindness and support of the Kia service staff. They couldn't work on the car because I was not the owner and it was a US rental vehicle. Thank you Audrey and the rest of the staff for trying to help!!!

I can honestly say that I had a blast during the purchasing process with Steele. He is funny, honest, and doesn’t badger or pressure you to make a sale. We were texting and calling back and forth for months while waiting for the exact colour of Seltos to come in, and the conversations were always light and fun. I had checked out the Vernon Kia first and was not happy with the service I received (pushy and would only take a non-refundable $2000 deposit to look for what I wanted). A family friend recommended Steele, and on our first call he made it clear they are not in the business of making money off of deposits. I only had to put down $500, totally refundable. That small detail makes the customer feel much more safe and secure.Allison had called me to walk me through all of the paperwork and extras I could get and she was also funny, easy-going and a pleasure to chat with. The customer service is top notch, and they have the sweetest little ambassador, Ivy (puppy) to keep you company while waiting for your car to be serviced. The techs always take great care of my 2017 Sportage, and the prices for maintenance etc, are much better than I am used to paying for dealership service! Getting an oil change is cheaper than at Jiffy Lube, and they also wash my car to boot. Highly recommended!
